How to Find a Friend
It's easy to lose track of people, but a happy and joyous occasion when someone finds a friend.
When one finds a friend after not being in touch with them for some time, it's difficult to remain unhappy. After all, we now have someone that means a lot to us to talk with about all of the things we used to do together and everything we've been doing in the meantime.
Reunions with long lost friends are one of the great pleasures of life, and if you've experienced one I'm sure you'll agree.
There are many services to help a person who finds a friend is something that's missing from their life. They can not only assist you in finding friends, but can help you find a partner, lover or even a family member who has been gone for a long time.
Of course, most of these services cost money, but that money can be well worth it. If you're willing to go to the trouble of searching for someone you've lost or haven't seen in a while, it's unlikely that you'll worry about a little money that you spend doing it.
It can be very difficult for these searches to succeed though, unless you know a lot of personal details about your missing friend. For instance, are you looking for someone with a very common last name? Perhaps you don't know where their last residence was or whether they've got married since you last saw them. These things mean you may end up finding someone different than the person you expected or were hoping for, or even no-one at all.
For me, the only solution is to make lots of new friends and make sure never to lose track of the ones that you have, even for a short time. If I have friends travelling, I make them promise to write and give me a number or an address where I can reach them if I need to get in touch.
With the more flighty friends - the ones who always seem to be trying to get lost - I make them promise to contact me every now and then. If I don't hear from them for a while, I cry and make a big fuss the next time I see them and tell them how much I missed them. As well as keeping us close, it makes them think twice before trying that trick again!
It's worth considering though, if you ever lose a friend and can't seem to do anything about finding them again, was it meant to be? There are plenty of new friends in the world just waiting to meet you so you really don't need to worry about treasuring every single last one of the one you have.
If you lose a friend, one of the best things to do is to make a new friend as soon as possible. Old friends can be great, but they can also be a bit boring, and new friends are always fresh and exciting. Relationships run through a natural cycle so don't worry too much about them. Anyway, I guarantee your new friend will be twice as much fun as the friend you lost!
